Copernus targets Easter with family-sized salmon side debut

Major chilled fish supplier Copernus says the current demand for salmon is at its highest, as families prepare for a second Easter in lockdown.

With a significant salmon order being rolled out across Lidl GB stores this week, The ‘Easter Special Buy’ serves six people and is expected to be a huge hit with shoppers when it lands on the award-winning supermarket chain’s shelves.

Priced at £9.99 per kilo, the responsibly-sourced salmon features in Lidl’s Lighthouse Bay own brand – specifically targeting families at Easter.

Dean Simpson, managing director at Copernus, said: “As a second generation, Hull-based fresh fish supplier, it is humbling to think our products are bringing thousands of families together round the dinner table this Easter as they spend another bank holiday weekend at home.

“Next week, there will also be four new salmon products launching as part of the supermarket’s Big on Summer range and we expect demand to be equally as high throughout the summer months.”

Copernus aims to promote healthy eating by offering a range of high quality, responsibly sourced fish at affordable prices. Customers can always buy with confidence knowing Copernus salmon is both Global Gap and ASC certified, the gold standard of farmed seafoods.

The Salmon Sides will only be available to purchase for a limited time in the run up to Easter. If you are looking for some recipe inspiration, visit the Cooking with Copernus YouTube channel.
